Robert Gordon "aka Robbie, Bob The Leg, Bobby Uncle" HOGAN

Robert HOGAN Obituary

Aged 67. On 27 June 2024, in Lower Hutt, Robbie went to play his bagpipes in the sky after an 18-month fight against cancer. Stoic and determined to the end. Adored brother of Annie, devoted uncle to Hazel and Holly, brother to John and Sophie, son of the late Pat and Tom Hogan. A send-off for Rob will be held at Lone Star, Petone, at 2.00pm on Friday 12 July. Johnny Cash will be played. Donations to Te Omanga Hospice.

Big hugs and much love to you Annie, and also to John. Whenever I picture Robbie he's always smiling and that's exactly how I want to remember him! What wonderful childhood memories our Karen and I have thanks to the Hogan family - Auntie Pat's laugh and butterfly cakes, Uncle Tom's pipe, John and Robbie egging Mum on til she nearly wet her pants, and you singing I'm Nobody's Child! RIP Robbie xxx

So sorry to hear of Robbie's passing. He always made everyone laugh, especially mum who just adored him. Jo and I remember the parties, christmas mornings and school holiday visits to Uncle Tom and Auntie Pats. Robbie would tease us so much.
Our biggest hugs to Anne, John and families.
I'm sorry we won't make it to the funeral but we will be thinking of you all.
