If grief is the price we pay for loving someone we lose, then hope and faith in the afterlife for Rob are the rewards we get too. The grief for Rob is what brings us sadly all together here today, but let´s weep not for someone who gave so much to others, loved so many, and cared infinitely for his family, friends, community and country; Only to those brave and virtuous souls, all eternal glory and peace await- iis solis fortes et virtuosis animis omnis aeterna gloria et pax exspectant!"

Rob, for fifteen years you were like a brother to me, always available for a coffee, fish and chips, a movie or just a sightseeing tour of Petone's odd little shops. You encouraged me in everything, but not without the occasional voice of reason to keep my feet on the ground. We shared many aesthetic and ethical values, as well as an obsession with free-software tinkering on a grand scale! I was always amazed at your creations and discoveries, from coffee makers to beehives. I'll miss our pseudo-philosophizing walks with Tui along the riverbank. You were a sincere, honest, and loyal friend. Love, David.

Robert I will never forget you my heart goes out to you my sister Mary this will be the hardest day your heart will break but time does heal and you will remember your boy and the good things that happened in life together.I will never forget the time I took care of you Robert as a little boy now you are at rest and peace.
