Richard WHITESIDE Obituary

Richard was one out of the box, a genuinely warm and lovely guy with a huge passion for life. He had the courage to follow his dreams, something I admire him tremendously for.

I wish I could have said thank you for your kindness, your spirit, your joy, your generosity and your good advices. Richard you were an inspiration and a mentor for many. You'll be dearly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

What a guy, to know Richard for a day felt like you had known him forever. He had a gentle and warm spirit. He was funny and caring and truly interested in people. Richard you brought a smile to many faces and your memory will go on putting a smile on the faces that remember you. So very sad for your family particularly your wonderful boys.

I met him at the acting class. He is such a nice guy always make people around happy! My sincere condolences to his family.

Such sad news, Richard was far too young. I will always remember him for his Henry VIII.

From such a casual friendship in stunt workshops, always happy to stop for a moment, a catch up. A smile, a chuckle, seen or unseen. Imagine the power of a smile now, unseen by the mind but held by the heart.

the world just lost its charisma! Richard had so much of it. Still stunned to this day you wont be around to crack a joke or two

Only knew him briefly through an acting course and working on the Hobbit. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long. Richard, you burned very bright indeed. Missing you buddy.

I was inspired by this man's forthright, determined and focus command to achieving his dream. He was a mischievous bugger and an honest and loyal friend. I will miss him.

Goodbye my friend. You helped make the world a happier place while you were here. Be at peace.

I met Richard, his ex wife Liz and his brother Ian way back in the late 1980's in WLG. Before the many different career changes Richy had including acting. He loved to remind my of how much of a Southlander I was. I've been talking to Ian and said how I wish I was geographically closer and was thinking of them all.

My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. May peace and comfort find you amongst friends and family. Much love.

Oh man, this is so sad. You went on a different adventure way too soon, my fine bearded(at times) fellow. You were always so warm and good to me mate. one more beer please. :(

I did not know Richard well, but he was always a gentleman with a great sense of humour, and respect for all of his fellow actors. I was very proud to see him finally getting some of his much deserved recognition in the feature film "Realiti" and I will dearly miss seeing how far his acting career could have reached.
