Reg. Uncle Reg as we called him. Back in the day he worked for my father as a panel beater. When we had our panel shop in waikanae he would always pop in to say hello with that lovely, optimistic face he had to share. My father, Graeme Ellis always, till the day he passed, would speak highly of Reg and his problem solving skills. Truly a wonderful man, and one which will fondly remembered. Rest well Uncle Reg.

I probably knew the Pycroft family longer than most. We lived at 8 Aparima Av and they are 13. Lorna was my friend and made my wedding dress. I only knew Reg then as her older brother and being in the army. I remember the excitement when he and ivy got engaged. I met him at Aotea two or three years back and he told me when he and Ivy married they were keen to buy our house-my dad had come back from the war and we were moving. But they couldn't afford it. Fond memories of him, his mum and dad, even back to ma and da. Nola Brown. 120 Muritai Rd Eastbourne.
