Raymond SMITH Obituary
Passed away peacefully on 29th May 2024, aged 91 years. Loved husband to Joan (dec), father to Rosanne, Kevin, and Paul. Father-in-law to Angelo, Gabrielle (dec) and Erin, Grandfather to Anna, Alexander, Zhenya; Sarah, Madeline, Andrew. Great-Grandfather to Summer. Loved brother of Colin (dec), Hazel and Kathleen. And a friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Eldon Lodge for the care of our Dad. Messages to the Smith family may be left in Ray's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz and this is also where you will find the livestream link. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Raymond's life will be held on Thursday 6th June, 11.00am, at Our Lady of Kapiti Catholic Church, 1 Presentation Avenue, Paraparaumu.

Very sad to hear of Rays passing many good times had with him and Joan especially trips overseas mainly Hong Kong sevens RIP Ray now with your beloved Joan.

Ray was an inspirational leader and I enjoyed working with him on the Board of The Academy of Fine Arts. We enjoyed his company at many rugby matches at The Wellington Stadium.
You will be missed.
