I never met Ray in person, and by all accounts I missed out on the company of a stellar human being.
His daughter, Sarah, cares for my son at her home and is just about one of the kindest, chillest, most supportive people I know. I'm guessing the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Sarah (and Kaye, Scott, Michael, and all the family): I so wanted to be there with you all to celebrate Ray's life. Sorry that I couldn't
Biggest hugs, may your memories be warm and give you joy in the midst of your grief .

Thank you Ray for being so kind and you will be missed by your extended family I.e. St. Mark's kids who you used to take to school and back home. Your acts of kindness morning and afternoon greetings all will be greatly missed. Whenever I see a small green car, I watch out for your familiar face.
Our deepest condolences to your near and dear ones.

Deepest sympathy to you Kay and the family. Ray was a wonderful man and devoted to you and his children and grandchildren. Also he was a stalwart in the Newlands and Johnsonville community and will be sadly missed by so many people. We go back a long way, before our children came along, when Ray worked with Dick at POHQ, then later catching up on the sports field and around the Newlands schools and community. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Love Colleen, Matthew and James Lambourne xxx
