To Ray's family,
From St Albans U3A film group.
Ray was a loyal supporter of our film group that met monthly at the Colombo Academy Gold Theatre over the past several years. He drove himself there and always cheerfully attended regardless of whether the movie was to his liking or not, and joined the group for lunch after the movie, in the Colombo Foodcourt. Over lunch he shared his pride in his family, especially his son in Finland and his daughter with whom he travelled in the South Island last Summer. He was a kind and sociable member of our group who will be sincerely missed. It was a privilege to have known him.
Sincere condolences from the group.

I´m the daughter in law of Alice Palmer who worked with Ray at theYMCA - Ray and Joy were both very kind to Alice. Sorry to read of Rays death and sending my condolences at the difficult time. He lived to a ripe old age didn´t he. Caring thoughts Gae Palmer ( wife of the lateAlwyn.)

Ray, you have been a lifelong friend of my parents and in that time I have enjoyed many occasions where your company has been greatly appreciated. Your wit and delightful humour will always be remembered. Your Christian character and integrity has never waivered. Thank you for your example.
