Raphael SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Raphael:
On Monday 24 April 2017, Raphael's colorful life that was filled with a faith and love anchored in His Saviour Jesus Christ returned to His Heavenly Father. His 66 years was a beautifully crafted poem. A special son of the late Louis and Lily (Mateialona-Smith), and much loved brother of Vernah, Amando, Kathy, O'lando (deceased), Vailima and Luani, Henry and Sue, Louis and Alasi, Phillipo, Reg and Jackie, Raymond and Faith, Judy and Stephen, Peter and Liz, and wonderful uncle to many nephews and nieces and their children.
Jesus said, "Your brother will rise again. I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Me will live, even after dying." - John 11:23, 25
Sincere appreciation to the Wellington Free Ambulance, St John and Porirua Fire and Police Service for their commitment to our brother's final battle. Raphael will lie at 1 Tireti Road, Titahi Bay. A service for sharing memories of Raphael's life will be held on Thursday evening, 7.00pm at St Pius Church, Te Pene Ave, Titahi Bay. Raphael's celebration service is at the same venue at 11.00am on Friday 28 April, followed by burial at Whenua Tapu Cemetery. You are welcome to attend.

Smith family, Have only just found out brother Raphael has passed, so sorry for your loss, reflecting on Raphael, Quite, Deep in faith,A Celtic blessing,
May the road rise to meet him
May the wind be always at his back
May the sun shine warmly on his face
And the rain fall gently on his fields
Until we meet again, May your God hold you gently in Gods hands.
