Our condolences to my cousins; Cindy, Yvette, Lindsay and Ewen, and also to Mark who we haven't met. We were deeply sorry to hear of Rachel's passing. The too few times we saw her she was always enthusiastic and interested and very very funny.

Rachel was a much valued colleague during her time in the Department of Library and Information Studies, and the School of Information Management, at Victoria University. Her knowledge and passion for her professional field and for teaching were an inspiration. Those of us who worked with her have missed her since that time and will continue to do so. Our sympathy and thoughts are with her family.

My condolences to Cindy and Yvette.I remember with great fondness my visits to Jeanettes in New Plymouth I guess about about 50 years ago.Time flies (the pet rats and goats were always entertaining )and Jeanette was always a modern women who instilled those values into her daughters much to the consternation of the elder generation!!!

As a colleague in her professional field from way back, I am very sad to hear of Rachel's passing. She was so full of life and indeed taken too soon. My thoughts are with the family at this sad time. I may be away at the time of the memorial service, but will attend if I'm in town. Kind regards, Jackie Jean
