Philip Michael GREENE

Philip GREENE Obituary

On July 26, 2023 at Mary Potter Hospice. Aged 80 years. Loving husband of Carol; Much loved father and father-in-law of Sarah and Rob, Michael and Jen; Cherished Grandad of James, Jessica, Toby, and Flynn. Loved brother of Colleen. "He will be sadly missed by his family and friends." Thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice and Dr Richard Hornabrook for their loving care of Phil. Messages to "the Greene family" maybe placed in Phil's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted C/- PO Box 723 Paraparaumu. Phil's funeral service will be held at Waikanae Presbyterian Church, 43 Ngaio Road, Waikanae, on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Dear Uncle Phil
A true Gentleman,kind considerate always showing genuine interest in everything & everyone. A quick wit that made you cry with laughter, rarely seen without his hat ,
King of the BBQ , a wealth of knowledge in everything especially football, wine & traditional ales accompanied by a cheeky bag of pork scratchings !!
The best tour guide & Chauffeur in NZ !!
A man who loved Auntie Carol dearly , Sarah, Mike, Rob, Jen & all his Grandchildren.
Uncle Phil it certainly was a
`Bonus´ to have shared so many good times together.
Fondest memories & love always - you will be missed .

Its a long time since we were neighbours in Canterbury Street. But we remember those good days with our kids playing together and Phil and all your family so welcoming. So sorry to hear of Phil's illness and death.
