Ange, what to say? We are just so gutted for you, your girls and extended family. I have great memories of riding with Pete, early morning rides up Signal Hill, crazy night rides, him helping me get my first full sus bike, his laughter at my dodgy lines and total incompetence, him encouraging me to have a go . It was Pete sharing his passion who really got me going on my bike. Then of course the support crew for Coast to Coast, Naseby, 24 hour race etc. He was such a loving and genuine guy, great with the kids, just all round damn awesome and a true loss. Our thoughts are with you all. Lots of love Wade & Jen, Mia, Ash Luke and Dima.

Just found out, Ange. We are heartbroken to hear the news. I first talked to Pete when we were both hanging out the washing in Sylvan St.Then we all became friends. Anna's birth was another event and we remember babysitting at Benhar St. Pete was very supportive to Ian when he came to visit. A loving father and beautiful man - one of the best. I am so glad I saw him when I was last in Wellington. Loving thoughts to you all.

My condolences to Peter's family. I was lucky enough to have met Peter 'WA' while working at Sport Wellington. He was a lovely man who always spoke with so much love about his wife and girls. I loved stories of what Anna and Kate were up to even though I had only met them once or twice- his face would light up every time they were mentioned. I know he will be hugely missed by many.

Dearest Ange, Jeepers sis to receive the news of Petes passing brought a whole lot of memories flooding back into my mind; from days of our mixed netball escapades of dominating the competition for three years in a row, to our times on the rugby field with me and Pete always debating who was going to play number seven - Pete, you were never as fit as I was, lol and our times with Te Rito and the great times of supporting our Maori students to get through the grind of tertiary education - I loved working alongside you mate and was always grateful to you Ange for letting Pete give your time to us. My heart is just hurting sis. Sincere regards Keith Tarsau

Dear Ange. We just heard the news and wanted to say how sad we are for you all. We always enjoyed your company back in the days of living on Benhar St and a ride or two out in the countryside. Pete was a great guy and we are so sorry to hear this news for you and the girls before Christmas. Take care- the Mortimer family.
