Peter WELLINGS Obituary
Passed away on 28th July 2022. Adored and beloved husband of Jillian. Dearly loved and loving father and father-in-law of Andrew and Reneta, Katherine and Shayne Priddle, Lizzie and Daryl Howarth, and James and Michelle. Treasured and caring Poppa of Nadia and Vincent; Hamish, Angus and Lachie; Zoe and Sylvie; and Maddie and Frankie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Carol and Colin Carr and uncle of Peter, David, Michael and Philip Sisam and JoAnne Carr. Messages to the Wellings family may be posted c/- 306 Willis Street, Aro Valley, Wellington 6011. A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held at Old St Pauls, Mulgrave Street, Wellington, on Monday 8th August 2022 at 1.00pm, thereafter a private cremation.

I meet Mr Wellings when I was nine and had been stab in the eye with scissors. He became my 1st crush and he was my surgeon for 25 years and even when I moved I rang him to check my new surgeon was doing the right thing. I always felt so safe and cared for. All my thoughts and love go out to his family.

I can see Peter now trying to get the mahjong men to sing part of a Christmas carol whilst playing on Colleen's piano...a lovely gentleman.much love to you all..his family.

Dear Jillian and family.
I send you my warmest wishes for love and support around you at this sad time and in the week to come.
It was always a delight to look after your and Peter's travel adventures that always had an element of excitement and intrigue because he was so well read!
I will never forget Peter's visits to my office always looking the dapper gentleman with a cheeky twinkle in his eyes.

Even though I did not know Peter he was my 1st cousin once removed. I knew his Mum my Auntie Edie and sister Carol.
