Peter SUMBY Obituary

SUMBY, Peter James:
Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Lodge, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in his 84th year. Dearly loved husband of Colleen, much-loved father and father-in-law of Rob and Brian, Celestina and John, Ivan and Tash, loving grandfather to Luti, Vita, Eti, Frida; Jessica, Zachary, Abigail, beloved brother of Geoffrey, Janice (deceased), and brother-in-law of Anne, Donald, and loved uncle to his niece and nephews: Catherine, Stewart, Christopher, Hamish, Jason and Nicholas; Tracey, Max, Philip, Elizabeth, Nicholas; the many friends and family members that added colour to Peter's life. The family wish to sincerely thank all the staff at Parkwood Lodge, for their outstanding support and care. In lieu of flowers donations to the Life Flight Trust, www.lifeflight.org.nz

In accordance with the family's wishes Peter's Requiem Mass will be open to vaccinated people only and certificates must be shown upon arrival at the venue. Peter's Requiem Mass will be held at Our Lady of Kapiti Catholic Church, Presentation Way (off Milne Drive), Paraparaumu, on Monday February 28, 2022 at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Awa Tapu cemetery.
