Dear Joy and family.
Our deepest sympathies on Peter's passing. We remember many happy times together in Sydney. Peter was great to work with, I always enjoyed his integrity and humour, backed up by a thoroughly professional approach to everything he did. I also remember fondly those periodic lunches where we learned a lot more about wine and food together. We know too the role Peter played in having the correct statue of a New Zealand soldier erected onto the Anzac Bridge in Sydney. RIP

Dear Joy and Peter's Family
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
I served with Peter in Los Angeles where he gave leadership to the New Zealand efforts at a difficult time in our relations with the United States and when his own health was at risk.
Peter was always clear - sometimes serious, oftentimes fun, a stalwart of New Zealand's foreign service and the ideal face of New Zealand in his many overseas postings.
I will miss him and remember our times together fondly, particularly our times in Santa Barbara and when we met Robert Mitchum together over a beer to discuss him promoting New Zealand as a tourist destination.
