We were so very saddened to read of Peter´s passing and our thoughts are very much with you.
My association and friendship with the whole Groves family goes way back to my childhood when, with my parents Nessie & Ken Jeffs, I spent most of my school holidays at Bush Grove. Peter´s parents, although no relation, were Uncle Norman and Aunty Constance to me and I was always in awe of their magnificent family homestead. Peter´s brother John and I played Mixed Doubles together in the Masterton Tennis tournament.
In latter years, Paul and I made 2- 3 trips from Waikanae to visit Peter and Nola, where we were shown and admired their beautiful garden and, of course, the magnificent vintage cars. On our last visit Peter took us out for a ride in `Old Mother Austin´ to the top of the Blairlogie hill which was a real treat.
The memories will always be there and I have two old horse shoes which Peter gave me to remember "Bush Grove".
R.I.P. Peter.
