LAWREY, Paul Nugent:
Died peacefully surrounded by family at Village at the Park on Sunday, October 2 where he was wonderfully cared for over the last four and a half years. Dearly loved father of Matthew Lawrey and Sarah George, and father-in-law of Tania Norfolk and Scott George. Dearest friend of Patricia Lawrey and brother of Mary Smith, Jose Phelan and the late Sister Julie Lawrey and John Lawrey. Brother-in-law to Derek Smith. Proud grandfather of Darcy and Miro Lawrey, and Sofia and Tessa George. Remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews. A good man; kind, funny, loyal and clever. He loved his family and his friends. He also loved wine, Wellington, conversation, music, politics and cheese. Paul's family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Village at the Park for everything that they did for him. Paul's friends are invited to join his family for a farewell at Lychgate Chapel, cnr Willis and Aro Street, Wellington TODAY, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:00pm; followed by private cremation.
