Patricia BARR Obituary

BARR, Patricia Anne (Pently). - Died unexpectedly on 19 December 2012, aged 56, in Wellington. Mother and mother-in-law of Dominic and Amy, and proud grandmother of Oliver and Eden Anne (Melbourne). Eldest daughter of Anne and Keith Brown (Lower Hutt); and sister and sister-in-law of Stan and Helen (Petone), Petra and Bill (Napier), and Leo and Dianne (Whanganui). A loved niece and cousin; a very special person, who will be sadly missed. R.I.P. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather to farewell Pently at her funeral service at Ss. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Thursday 27 December 2012, at 1.00p.m. A private cremation will be held.

I learned today of Patricia's death from an old mutual friend from Wairoa....Hariata Hema .... Patricia and I were best friends at Wairoa College 1969-1973... we were/are both smart, artistic,rebellious, creative,different individuals. It was during our 6th and 7th form that she came up with psuedonym of Pently T Busch...I note that part of it remained with her. Patricia went to university in Christchurch and I went to Palmerston North...and I never saw her again ...but she and the hilarity of our shared formative teenage experiences in Wairoa can still be recalled ...albeit fuzzily!
I was always welcomed by the whole Brown family( including Maudie ) over at North Clyde so my thoughts and love are with Keith, Anne,Stephen, Petra and Leo .
So sad to learn of her tragic passing .
