Hello family of Mrs Sinclair, I was one of the lucky girls to be in Rangers when your mother and Mrs Cable were the leaders back in the 1970s. Both women were terrific of course, Mrs Cable being the extremely enthusiastic and overly active outdoors one. Your mother not so much, but a great contrast because of that. The ying-yang thing. Always your mother was a voice of reason, calm and great common sense. I look back now and see how important it was for us teenage girls with our various insecurities and confusions with whatever was going on in our heads, to have women like your mother and Mrs C. Not our parents, not our teachers, their weekly commitment to a bunch of teen girls provided a safe, friendly and fun place to be, giving me and I am sure others time and space to figure out the world, gain confidence and learn/do new things.
