Olivia HARRIS Obituary

HARRIS, Olivia Katie:
19.01.1978 - 05.10.2020
We lost a beautiful soul last week when Olivia passed away in ICU surrounded by family. Strong and caring, she meant so much to so many. Olivia saw the heart in everything. Much loved partner of Iain, dedicated and loving mother of Harriet & Olive, adored daughter of Chris, Julie, & Bruce, loyal and thoughtful sister of Juliette & Richard, Adelaide & Blair, Fiona & Alessio, and cherished Auntie to Blair, Eduardo & Emma. A loved niece to Diane & Ron, Shirl & David, Julie, Graeme & Ruth, Neil & Karan. Treasured daughter-in-law of Anne. A special cousin to Jackie & Steve, Sue & Jason, Sally, Hugo, Theo, Sophie, Katie Brown, and all the UK and Australian cousins. The family will be celebrating Olivia's life, her laughter and her loves at the Worser Bay Boating Club, Karaka Bay Road, Seatoun, on Friday 16th October 2020 at 2.30pm. She is expecting you all there! Please note seating and parking will be very limited. She would have wanted all her wonderful family and friends to celebrate so we are catering for both close family and friends to be in the Boating Club itself and for her very wide circle of friends to attend outside the Yacht Club to help celebrate her life. In keeping with Olivia's wishes we are asking that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Wellington Free Ambulance who worked so hard to ensure we could say goodbye and she could continue to give life to others through the donation of her organs. If you would like to pay respect to Olivia in person, please feel free to visit on Monday between 2pm-4pm and Tuesday 11am-1pm at Harbour City Funeral Home, 56 Onepu Road, Kilbirnie.

I was shocked to hear of this sad news.

Liv was my first friend at E+. New to cross fit, I was shy and felt totally in over my head surrounded by these fit people. I think Liv saw the fear in my eyes and took me under her wing to show me the (literal) ropes. I caught on and the fitness bug took hold, I was always happy to see her in class to boost my confidence.

To her it may have been a small gesture, but to be she made a big impact.

My deepest sympathies to her family xx

Sending so much love to everyone who knew you and most especially to Iain and your precious girls. You were always a good friend to my partner in life, Mike. I was so excited when I first got to meet you having heard so much about you while he and I were dating.
When we had our wee girl you took time to drop us soup and you always had time to stop and chat with a stressed out me, at Arcimboldis, or share mummy supportive words while our girls played at Mainly Music. We used to watch you paddle around the bay when we were out on our walks..... There will forever be a gap in our hearts and lives where you used to be.
Love from Emma , Mike and Alice Xx

I am deeply saddened to hear of Olivia's sudden passing. We worked together years ago, and Olivia was a class act, a full package, and a wonderful member of our team.

We all loved Olivia, for her boundless energy, bubbly sense of humour, and straightforward approach to dealing with things. Olivia was very talented in a creative sense too

In a photography studio, members of the team have always modelled, for staff training, competitions and exhibitions. Olivia was a popular choice. She was also a great sport, as some of her colleagues pushed it a bit with what they were attempting to achieve!

That 20 years on Olivia has kept in touch with many of her colleagues from that time is testimony to her loyalty, qualities and strength of character.

I will always remember Olivia as a valued team member, who put others before herself, and who always handled herself, and others, with care and dignity.

My deepest condolences to all Olivia's family and her many many friends. Olivia will be hugely missed.
