Nikki Marie Gloria
(nee Hughey):
Passed away from cancer at home on Monday 1st May 2023, aged 41 years. Dearly loved wife of Scott. Very much-loved Mum of William and Evelyn. Loved daughter of Dave and Glenis, loved stepdaughter of Lindy, daughter-in-law of Thereece and Terry, Dave and Michelle. Loved sister of Ben and Shelley, sister-in-law Julie. Brothers-in-law Robert and Michael, sisters-in-law Lauren and Brittany and loved by all her nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins. Loved by her many loyal and beloved friends. Nikki's family want to thank especially the Mary Potter Hospice staff for their wonderful care provided to her in Nikki's last week at home. A service to celebrate Nikki's life will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae on Tuesday 9th May 2023 at 11.00am. Someone special, who I met in the early few months of having our girls (Monroe and Evelyn) and attending SPACE. We bonded over having a child the same age - (even 5 days apart ) Nikki was an amazing person with the biggest heart. Always doing things for others, sometimes even before herself. She put up a good fight, with poise and humour at times, but also frustration with her diagnosis, although she was positive of fighting this new hurdle to be here for her family. Gone far to young. The glimmer of light, even in the foggiest dark sky. RIP Nikki - you are and still an incredible person, and I am grateful to have met you on this journey of life.
I´m glad your not in pain anymore, but man! You are going to be surely missed by all of us xx it´s a hole that is rather big right now. We lost a special young lady who is now a star shining up in the sky.
