On March 15, 2021, at Ithaca, New York, aged 82. Professor Emeritus of Physics, Cornell University. Born in London, November 27, 1938, arrived in New Zealand, August 1947, educated at Hutt Valley High School, Victoria University of Wellington, and Cambridge University. Predeceased by brothers Roderick and Timothy (UK). Survived by wife Judith (Ithaca); son Robert (Houston, TX); son Ian, daughter-in-law Barbara, and grandchildren Laney and Hayden (Huntsville, AL); sister and brother-in-law Dee and Tim Armstrong (Otaki); sister-in-law Philippa (Midhurst, UK); sister-in-law Dorothy Dallimore (Havelock Nth), and many more close family members in New Zealand and the UK.
