Michael WHITAKER Obituary
Michael Paul Joseph:
Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022.
A true gent and devoted family man who will be missed.
Very much loved husband of Margaret and cherished father and father-in-law of David and Amanda, Karen, Shona and Grant, John and Trisha, Clare and Alex, Joanne and Richard. Treasured Grandad to Caitlin, Samuel, Hayden, Ahleea, Danielle, Riley, Jorja-Maree, Eva, Xavier, Rosalie, Liam, Poppy, Chase and Reid. Loved brother of Father Frank Whitaker. Vigil service to be held at St Theresa's Catholic Church, James Street, Plimmerton on Tuesday, August 16, at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass to be held at the same church on Wednesday, August 17, at 11.00am. Burial to follow at Whenua Tapu Cemetery. Thanks to all those who cared for and supported Michael during his long illness.
Rest in Peace.

Mr Whitaker and family were our neighbours in Pukerua Bay, it was an honour to know Mr Whitaker & such a fantastic family to grow up with in Kotipu Place we have such lovely memories, we were sorry to hear of Mr Whitakers passing, our thoughts are with all the family, with love xx

I offer my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the Whitaker family. Mike was a great walking companion many years ago on the Rimutaka Rail Trail, and his son David was a good friend of mine from Viard College. Rest in Peace, Michael, and be proud of your wonderful family and a life well lived.
