HACKING, Michael George:
(b. 1952, Boscombe, Dorset, UK) Our darling Michael said his final farewell on 3 March 2022, with family at his bedside. Adored husband to Carole, father to Lily, brother to Gill, father-in-law to Oliver, and doting grandfather to Poppy and Florence. He was treasured by his many friends and whnau in Aotearoa, England, and around the world. Michael had a full life and will be remembered for his quick wit, good looks, and his love of music, language, wildlife, and whisky. A generous and loving man who traversed many parts of the globe in his youth and through his work as a documentary film maker. We will miss him terribly, but it was time for him to leave us. He will not be forgotten. A private ceremony will be held with a celebration of Michael's life to be arranged at a later date. Our family is so grateful for all the wonderful care and support from the nurses, doctors, and staff at Hutt Hospital during Michael's final days.
