Michael FRANCIS Obituary
Died on 29th September 2021 in his 83rd year. After dealing with numerous health challenges over the last few years, he died after a short illness in Hastings Hospital. Much loved brother to Anne and Warwick; husband to the late Yvonne Francis; father to Tanya, Rhonda and Marcus; father-in-law to Grant and Andrew; Poppa to Madeleine and Sophia; companion to Margaret.
He will be dearly missed and we are grateful some of us were able to be with him before he died. He was a Dental Surgeon, practising in Napier City for many years.

Mike and I were great friends at Whangarei Boys High. At the end of school year 1956 we both hitch hiked around the South Island - great memories. Mike's exploits at Otago University encouraged me to get organised and study geology at Auckland University

I'm saddened to hear of Mike's death. He was in our year at Dental School and was a man of personality!

Sorry to hear of Michael's passing. We shared membership at St Mary's Parish in the 1970s and our son, Damian, was at the Taradale Intermediate with Marcus. Michael and Yvonne were part of many parish groups with us so we learned to appreciate Michael's good sense and sharp wit.
It is many years since we moved on from Taradale but a lot of memories came back when we saw the notice of Michael's passing.
May he Rest In Peace and May his family be consoled in his loss.

My condolences, I remember working for Michael for a short stint when I was fresh out of dental school all those years ago.
