Michael John Francis (SM):
On February 11, 2019. Loved and respected priest of the Oceania Province. Loved son of the late Patricia & Francis. Dearly loved brother of Anne, Sheila (dec), Kay and Mary (dec). Loved brother-in-law of the late Arthur, John and Ron. Much loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.
R.I.P.
Michael will be buried in Suva, Fiji on Friday, 15 February, 2019.

Dear Anne and Kay,

I'm so sorry for your loss of Michael.
What a tragic way for him to go. And after leaving you fit and healthy only days earlier. I imagine you're still trying to believe it happened.
Being the same age, it's hard for me to accept that, 'bang', you could go out just like that. It's given me quite a jolt, but of course, my thoughts go out to you.
Such a shame he and I weren't able to catch up, which I'd hoped to do within the next year or so.
I'll just have to remember those great years he and I were growing up as such close friends in Taita. And also value and be thankful for the environment and times that existed then to enable such a happy childhood and growing up though teenage years.
Hopefully I can get to see you if I get over in the next couple of months, which is on the cards.
