Beloved husband for 63 years of Jennifer. Loving father of Diana & Gerald Ponsford, Sarah & Alan Hunter, and Tim & Christine Brice. Loving Poppa of grandchildren Victoria, Mark, Samantha, Nicholas, Amy and great-grandchildren Marley, Leo, Lennox and many members of his extended family. Special thanks to the Parkwood staff for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated at https://www.wfa.org.nz/donate or may be left at the service. A funeral service will be held at St Luke's Anglican Church, Elizabeth Street, Waikanae, on Wednesday 7 September 2022 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.

To Jenny, Diana and the wider Brice family, my sincere condolences on Michael's recent passing. I first met Michael when I joined Waikanae Lions a number of years ago. He was one of the real gentlemen in the Club and had a cheeky but very welcoming personality. I loved the nights that he ran the Clubs quizzes.
I am sorry I was not at his funeral, as I only found out about his passing on the morning of the service and could not adjust my Library JP services which were at the same time as the service.
I hope you all have had some great family time together over the last few days to reflect on what a great man Michael was.

Dear Jenny, Diana, Sarah and Tim,
I was so sorry to hear that you have lost your much loved husband and father, Michael. All through the years i knew him, we always enjoyed his company so much, the conversation and sense of humour. I still see that quirky mouth when he was amused by something.
What a pleasure to have known him. I am thinking of you all as you come to terms with your loss but shall be there on Wednesday to share in the celebration of his life.
