Peacefully passed away at Julia Wallace Retirement Village, Palmerston North, on Saturday 26 February 2022. Aged 89 years. Much loved wife of the late Bernard (Barney). Loved Mum of Ivan and Russell. Loved mother-in-law of Vivien, Julie and Gillian. Treasured Grandma to Krystie & Jared, Brodie & Stasia, Caitlin & Jono, and Great-Grandma to Mia. A private service to celebrate Merle's life will be held at the Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Thursday 3rd March 2022, at 10.30am. Due to current covid restrictions, entry will be by invitation only. Masks and Vaccine passes are required. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Julia Wallace for their patience, understanding and care of Merle since 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations in Merle's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, PO Box 527, Palmerston North 4441.
