Maureen Beatrice (nee Booth):
Maureen passed away peacefully at Hawkes Bay Hospital on Friday, October 21, (a week before her 83rd birthday). Dearly loved wife of the late John, and mother and mother-in- law of Peter, David and Christina, Brian and Nita, and Karen and Mike. Much loved Nan of Catherine and Ben, Guy and Carolyn, Robert and Namiko, Joanna, Caroline, Ben and Sarah, and much loved Great-Nan to Max, Milo, Renee and Clark. Special friend and sister to Nancy, Ashley and the late Frank. Special neighbour of Sam and Margaret, and a dear friend to many. A life well lived. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and allied staff at Hawkes Bay Hospital (especially in Ward A4). A service to celebrate Maureen's life will be held on Friday October 28 at 2.00pm in the Beth Shan Chapel, 157 Georges Drive, Napier, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society (HB).

Dear Peter, Brian and Karen.
It is with great sadness that I learnt the death of your Mother and my friend.
We were neighbours in Stokes Valley in the late 50' We kept in touch until her unforeseen return from America. I have been anxious about her since and was always hoping for better news as she was such a vibrant person and a great fighter.
From the bottom of my heart I send you my deepest condolences.
