WEST, Matthew James Masterton. - (formerly of Marton). Passed away at home, peacefully, after a brave battle in the arms of his adoring wife and presence of his loving family on 14th April, 2014 aged 54 years. Adored husband of Maureen, (formerly Stewart, nee Fee). Loved Dad of Gareth and Genevieve. Loved youngest son of Jack and Gwen West (Deceased). Dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and friend of Terry (deceased) and Pauline (Wellington), Liz and Tom Davis (Auckland), Mike and Jocelyn (Wellington), Chris and Dale (Gisborne), Julian and Bev (Whangamata), Philippa and Wayne Eteveneaux (Feilding), Alison MacKinnon and Murray. Fun loving uncle of all his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to Pare, Drs and all of the amazing team at Arohanui Hospice, District Nurses and Caroline of Lavender Blue who have all helped and supported Matthew and family on his journey. Funeral to be held at St Francis Catholic Church, Russell Street, Marton, on Tuesday, 22nd April, at 2.00pm. Cremation to be private.
