Tribute to Mary Singleton

Mary´s lifelong love of music led her to help establish an Orchestra on the Kapiti Coast in 2004 along with other like- minded musicians. As current members of the Kapiti Concert Orchestra it is with sadness that we learned of Mary´s passing but at the same time we can look back and thank Mary for her dedication and persistence. She worked tirelessly for the Orchestra until her retirement in 2012 and was made a Life Member of the Orchestra then for her services to the Orchestra.
Mary was always an enthusiastic supporter of the Orchestra who rarely missed attending our concerts despite illness and reduced mobility in later years.
Mary´s vision of an Orchestra on the Kapiti Coast will continue and her contribution will not be forgotten.

I remember you so well, Mary. We were colleagues at the Correspondence School. You were recognised there as a very talented teacher and you were respected. You were fun then chronic fatigue visited you taking your energy. That saddened all of us. Thank you for your presence in the lives of many - students, other teacher and parents. Farewell Mary.
