LOVE, Mary Ellen (Molly):
16.01.1937 - 05.02.2022
Molly peacefully slipped away surrounded by family after a courageous battle at the Home of Compassion, Silverstream. Loved and treasured by the late Nevin, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael (Perth), Philip and Loretta, John and Adelyn, David, Fiona and Eugene Collins. Beloved Grandmother to Sean, Adam and Alexander Love; Hannah, Jessica, Emily, Charlotte and Jack Love; Harrison, Pierce and Lauryn Collins. Great-grandmother to Harper. Dearly loved daughter of the late Nicholas and Bridget Fitzgerald. Sister and sister-in-law to the late Des and Jean, and auntie to Peter, Julie and Susie. Thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for Mum at Woburn Masonic, Ropata Village, and latterly the Home of Compassion, Silverstream. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Molly's life will be held tomorrow (Thursday, 10 February) at 11.00am, followed by burial at Akatarawa Cemetery. Condolences to the family of Molly. May she rest in peace.
My mother Clare Thomson (nee Bell) and Molly had been friends since their school days. Molly was mums bridesmaid in 1955. In their later years I was the go between Mum and Molly. Molly would ring me to see how Mum was doing cause she had a stroke. I visited Molly in Woburn and we had a lovely chat about Mum and their younger days going to dances and things. Micheal did bring Molly up to Paraparaumu a number of times to see Mum, they so enjoyed those visits. May Molly now rest in peace with the angels in Heaven.
