Sad to read this news. Mary was a kind, supportive member of our music therapy community, very encouraging to me when I was training and a new music therapist.

Mary will be truly missed. She had a spirit for life and dedicated herself to helping others through her ministry and music therapy. I feel blessed to have known her.

Mary was a valued member of the music therapy community in New Zealand. We were very sorry to hear of her passing and send our sincere condolences to her family and friends. Mary trained as a music therapist through the NZSMT Accreditation Programme, gaining the qualification of Associate of the Society in December 1999. She became an active and committed member of the Wellington Branch committee, in 1996 was elected by the music therapists-in-training to represent them on the National Executive, and in 1997 became the branch´s representative to the National Executive. Mary was a member of the Editorial Committee (1997- 2000) and became Secretary of the New Zealand Association of Music Therapists (NZAMT) in 2002. She also graduated with a Master of Music Therapy degree from the NZSM (2006). We remember Mary with love and gratitude. Dr Daphne Rickson, ONZM.

Deeply saddened by Mary's Passing. Our condolences to Francis, Tony, Wendy and extended families. Due to illness, sadly we are unable to attend service but we will be watching livestream. As Mary's first cousin I have many great memories of her. Christmas time and school holidays our families away got together. We had a great time. I came in the car with very excited family when Mary first entered the convent. May you Rest in Peace Mary you will never be forgotten.
