I hope that this message comes to you, Katarina, and all. Mark has been on my mind for a long while. My last memory of Mark was a very nice one. I was walking Jackson past your house and there was Mark just behind your gate. We both saw each other through the gap between the trees and the gate, and Mark did not hesitate before coming out to say hello.
Our conversation was fun and he was so excited for me to go away to Portugal. Mark was glowing in the sun and he seemed so fresh too. I don't remember too much of the conversation but I remember how I felt afterward - just so happy that Mark was still in my life and happy to talk with me. His fast speech and happy eyes are very solid in my head and ears and eyes- I am very very lucky to have had that conversation with him, had him as an awesome coach, but more importantly an awesome person who introduced me to being cared for at a friends place.
Going to your guy's house was my first sleepover experience - and both you Katarina, and Mark - and of course Max - made it so easy and special. Thank you guys, and I send you all love.

Mr porter. Gone way to early mate. A great man gone to soon . There were still many apprentices that needed you guidance but more importantly those who needed you love and friendship. Mark you taught a lot of us way more than how to be a good builder. It's was the lessons off the tools that will always stay with me much longer than when the tool belt was hung up. I will always cherish outlrntime at wharekahau getting to know you better and again learning those life tricks you were always happy to give up.
Rest easy Mark.

Good bye my camping friend. The years spent at Ohiwa in the summer I will always remember. Thanks for being so great with kids. Thanks for the bqs, swims, guitar playing, kayaks, small and big boat trips. We will go to your spot and remember you. Gone way too soon.

We had a lovely time with Mark at a work do for Katrina. Mark found someone else to have a laugh with and NOT have to listen to Banking stories all night. Great to spend some time talking through travel plans, especially the India trip. Heartbroken for Katrina and family, all too soon.

Rest in peace Mark. A kind, caring good man. Many happy and occasionally wild memories of our youth sharing a flat in Thorndon :)
My condolences to his family.
