Marj and Max hosted my brother Don and I for Sunday lunches for years while our family were overseas and we were students. They caringly listened to us teenagers, they advised us and made us feel a part of their family. We've done the same for others since having our own home, over the years, and our own children have carried on the tradition. Thank you Marj. I got to know Marj better as an adult in Gisborne when we met weekly over a time - our shared faith and times of prayer together were precious. Years before this, Marj had an important part in our widower father's quest to find a wife after some years alone. She befriended Maureen, guided her in Salvation Army ways and was bridesmaid at their wedding. Marj's love is still appreciated and we honour her life. Our thoughts are with her surviving family - we know you will miss her deeply.

Marj is now in the place God has prepared and promised all those who serve Him as faithfully as she did. I share with all the family their loss with precious memories of such a loving and faithful sister. "Till we meet again" Ron
