Maria ''Thea'' (nee Servos):
Born Lefkada, Greece. Thursday April 20, 2017, with deep sadness she passed away at Hutt Hospital, aged 78 years. Dearly loved wife of Gordon, treasured mum of Tracey & Allen. Karyne & Ian. Much loved nana of Antony & Emma, Kelly & Jordan, Hayden & Emma, Bradley & Clarista, Ricky & Coriana. Loving sister and sister-in-law to Popi & John (dec), Nic & Liz, Thanasis, Georgina, Andrew (dec), and Toula. Much loved Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to Diabetes New Zealand would be appreciated and may be posted to Diabetes New Zealand, P. O. Box 12441 Thorndon, Wellington, New Zealand. Special thanks to the staff and Doctors at Hutt Hospital. A service for Maria will be held in St Nektarios Church, 23 Bay St, Petone on Monday April 24 2017 at 11am followed by interment at Akatarawa Cemetery. To dearest Gordon and family, It brings sadness to our hearts to hear that Maria has passed. She was such a beautiful person - so giving, kind and caring. Just on Friday Christine was thinking of you both as it was 5 years since we got engaged while staying at your house. We are lucky to have such wonderful memories to look back on of our time with you and Maria. It is a blessing that her suffering is over now and she would want you to be happy for her so stay strong and continue to enjoy life to the fullest for her. Merle Moore also passes on her condolences and was quite upset hearing of Maria's passing.
