A lovely person and full of good cheer! The owner and staff at Gipps St Deli loved her visits as she showed interest in all of us. RIP Margaret from Sam and Team Gipps!

Rest in peace, Margaret. Yours was a rich and full life impeccably lived, with a wonderful legacy of generous musicianship and friendship witjin an extraordinarily creative generation. Our hearts go out to the Nielsen and Fleischl families and friends.

Margaret Nielsen, was a kind and generous friend as well as being an outstanding musician. I was reminded, by my sister, of the story of our mother, Nancy Jensen (cellist) Zita Outtrim (violinist) and Margaret pouring over Douglas Lilburn´s work in their preparation for their live broadcast on 1ZB. This was in the early 1960´s. Three remarkable women who enjoyed their friendship and broadcasting together. I hope they are now enjoying their trios in heaven. Thank you Margaret.

I remember Margaret very fondly from my time A Victoria University. She was a fantastic pianist and co-artist, and was an inspiration to students for her enthusiasm and kindness. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.
