Margaret DAVISON Obituary

DAVISON,
Margaret Georgina:

On October 28, 2022, suddenly and devastatingly at home. Beloved wife of Miles. Adored mother of Laura-Jean, Lawson, Emma and Mitchell and grandmother of Oakley, Harper and Adelaine. Loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin and friend to many. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearest wife, mum, nanma, sister and aunty. There are many words to describe the pain and loss we feel but not enough to do it justice. Our Mags loved everyone she met in an authentic, unconditional way. A funeral service for Margaret will be held at church, 51 Lane Street, Upper Hutt on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11.00am.
Safe in the arms of Jesus.

Dear Miles,
Margaret was such an integral and fond part of our memory of NZ Assembly Bible School in 1991, when she was Margaret Adams and you two were just getting acquainted. Our first and major memory of Margaret is her ready laugh, so quick to connect with people and enjoy their company. We cannot pretend to appreciate the full extent of the grief that you must feel at losing her. That being said, be assured that Margaret has left a significant, God honouring mark on this world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family, Miles.

Margaret“s willing enthusiasm supporting and organising Totara Park Schools various activities and fundraising will always stay with me. Margaret always cared about the school children and was a welcome sight in the school grounds. My deepest condolences to you all, I know your mum will have left you with some awesome memories and I hope you will all take care of each other during your grief. Leonie Pearson

I met Margaret when my family and I returned from the UK and our kids attended kindy together. I was new to the community and she made me feel welcome. Our friendship followed our kids through kindy, TPark School, and post-primary where we would meet up for the odd cheese scone and natter. Margaret was always smiling, always had the kindest words and her sense of humour had me in giggles at times. Such an authentic being. I've never met anyone so giving of herself. Feeling incredibly privileged to call her my friend. Sending so much support and hugs to Miles, Emma, Lawson, Laura, Mitchell, and the rest of her family at this time.

During our time at HCC we witnessed Margaret loving and serving the Lord by loving and serving others. Now she is at rest with Jesus, but we who are left have a huge void in our lives which only He can fill.
To Miles and family, may you know the Lord's comfort and strength through this time of devastating loss.
To the whole church family, may you know special fellowship with the Lord, to support one another and be encouraged as you continue His work.
God bless you all.

Dear Miles and family,
I'm saddened to hear of Margaret's sudden passing.
I remember Margaret often coming in to have lunch with you Miles at Lewis's when we were still in Tawa.
We all enjoyed catching up with her and hearing about how the children were growing up so fast.

God has now taken your Dear Margaret into his loving arms and will be by all your sides as you try to come to terms with your great loss.

Love Catherine Hingston
