(Markie): Peacefully on 3 January 2024. Loved wife of the late Stephen. Mother of Angela and Hedley, mother-in-law of Owen and grandma of Kelvin, Jamie, and Matthew. Messages may be sent to "the Benge family", c/- PO Box 30 127, Lower Hutt 5010. A celebration of Markie's life will be held at Kingswood, Cnr of King and Cairo Streets, Upper Hutt on, Friday 12 January 2024 at 1pm, followed by burial at Akatarawa Cemetery.

My condolences to the family. As a companion driver I looked forwards to taking Margaret to her various appointments. She was an astute lady and I learnt a lot about the Royal Family from her. I will remember her fondly. Best wishes to all the family.
