To the Perrett family. It was of great sadness to hear of the passing of an old mate. Malcolm will always be remembered fondly by me as the person who welcomed me in 1975 to Lower Hutt and HOB Rugby club following my transfer from Christchurch. We become good friends and following my retirement from Rugby worked together on various committees over the years. The friendship with Malcolm continued to this day following my move to Auckland both in business and socially. Please accept our deepest sympathy as we reflect on the loss of a great person with a great personality.

Dear Loraine.
So very sorry you have lost Malcolm. A neighbour 60 odd years ago who also coached me in cricket, and having a meal together just a few weeks ago with Malcolm,Laraine,Angus and my wife Val, our renewed friendship was something we both enjoyed and we will miss him.

Very sad to hear of Malcolm's passing. My deepest condolences to Hugh and Pat, Rosalind and Richard and of course Angus. I worked with Malcolm from 1977 to 2012 and had huge respect for both him and Harry his father. The tales that could be told from that little office at 369 Adelaide road will of course never be told!
I'm sorry I cannot be at the funeral today but feel that Malcolm is at last in the hands of the Great Organiser so am sure all will be well.
You were very deeply loved Malcolm.

To Laraine and family Our sincere condolences to you on the passing of Malcolm. It has come as a shock to both Penny & I.As a godfather to the life members of HOBM he was looked up to as our leader. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral but will be in our thoughts today and we will be having a drink or two in his honour with my old mate Ashley Nausbaum tonight. All our love Penny & Graeme Coley

A totem pole of sport in the Hutt Valley has gone. Malcolm of the Perrett twins - friend from our Primary School days in Karori - with renewals anon - last enjoyed by so many of us at Wellington College's 150th Celebration last October. How we will miss that kindly smile and the embrace of debate!
Our deepest blessings now go out to Hugh, and to Laraine, and all family & friends.

My thoughts go out to Laraine, Julie, Steve, Hugh, Rosalind, Angus, and the wider family, it's hard to believe he won't call about something that got up his nose!
I've known Malcolm for 30 + years, first as a father in law to be, and in recent years a friend. Being a friend of Malc's came with risks. Getting ejected from grandstands at the rugby, and ejected from your own corporate table at the tennis because we were heckling NZ's No 1 player! But he was a great conversationalist from Bitcoin investment to the GGs, he was generous to his family, being more frugal on himself.
We only had a beer 2 weeks ago, and had a round of golf booked. I'll miss my fellow shark hunter greatly.
