We were sad to hear of Lesley's passing. She was, with Graham, a good friend in the "Kapuni Days". We will miss her intelligence and her ability to sustain a good political argument at any time.
We chased many losing racehorses in our time.

Dear Karen, Sarah, Catherine and all your families,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Your mum was truly an amazing woman who welcomed our family all those many, many years ago in the warmest way and always did whenever we met. She made us laugh, gave great advice and treated us as family.
We have very fond memories of your mum and dad, the times we were in NZ and of the times they came over to England stopping off on their wonderful travels in this end of the world. We are so lucky that we got to share in some amazing adventures with them.
We hope you find comfort in knowing that she will always be with you as she always was.
With all our Love, xxx

We first met Lesley and Graham in Edendale in the early 70s. They befriended us new arrivals. We remained in touch annually since then. We remember Lesley for her very active brain, her dry wit and wicked sense of humour.
I Mary appreciated her inside knowledge of the local GP and maternity hospital with a fierce Matron. Lesley was a breath of fresh air among the more conservative Southland wives.
We loved their Te Puna house on a difficult section with a glorious view. Gardening was a challenging project for Lesley and Graham. We will miss their welcoming hospitality.
Our condolences to the family.

To Catherine, Sara and Karin please our deep condolences for your sad loss of your mother Lesley. We treasure the great memories of the good times we all had on the alternative Queens birthday trips in the 1970s and 80s between Hamilton and Napier as well as the great times growing up at Kapuni in the 1960s. Sorry we can´t be their help ease the great sorrow you all have but use those great memories to help ease the pain.
