Leon PIPER Obituary

Unit: No. 21 Fighter Squadron RNZAF Rank: Warrant Officer NZ 4215704. On 17 March 2024 at Bupa Crofton Downs, in his 100th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Pat. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sue & Peter, Michael & Angie, David, Simon & Janette, Nigel & Lisa. Dearly loved grandfather of his 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. No flowers please however donations in loving memory to 'The Friends Of Mana Island' would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bupa Crofton Downs for their loving care of our Pip – Thank you. A service to Celebrate Pip's life will be held in The Plimmerton Boating Club, 66 Moana Road Plimmerton on Monday 25 March at 11.00am.

Heartfelt sympathy to the Piper family. Your parents are fondly remembered by students at Onslow College. Both were outstanding teachers, gently encouraging those who struggled, and celebrating every achievement. `Pip´ was a distinctive figure striding across the Quad to classes.
