Lawrence CORBETT Obituary
Lawrence Michael:
(Emeritus Professor, Victoria University) With great sadness we announce that Lawrence died on 30 November 2018 after a long illness, borne with courage and humour. Dearly loved husband of Susan, and father of Isabel, William and Alex. Eldest son of Joan and the late Steve. Brother of Therese & Greg, Andrew & Sally, Stephen & Mary-Liz, Brendan & Kahoa, and Sean & Angela, and inspirational uncle to his many nieces and nephews. No flowers please, but donations to the Blind Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Thanks to the many health professionals and caregivers who worked with Lawrence and the family. Lawrence's funeral will be held in Kingswood, Cnr King & Cairo Streets, Upper Hutt, on Saturday 8 December 2018 at 10.30am, followed by burial at Makara Natural Cemetery, Makara Road, Karori.

Lawrie was a friend, inspiration and mentor to many members of the Global Manufacturing Research Group (GMRG). We wish to express our gratitude for all that he did for so many of us, his international colleagues. Our condolences to the family. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I remember meeting Lawrie for the first time when I rang him to find out what an MBA was. He suggested I come up and talk. I did and was enrolled a week later. It was a wonderful four years learning and Lawrie was a pivotal part in my beginning this. I remember him very fondly.
