Fondest memories of our dear friend Father Kevin. We will always remember the good times with you since our first meeting in Samoa, 1977. Your energy, stamina and faith was never ending. A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul rose to heaven closer to God. When we lose a loved one here on earth we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. You will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to have known you. RIP Father Kevin. Much love from Vicki and Hugh Muirhead, Greg and Carolyn

Haere ra e Pa. Fr Mears was a huge influence on many of us at Hato Paora College. My first rugby coach, a clear and patient maths teacher, and a tireless man of action. Was always so supportive of our whanau and our school. Arohanui, Derek Stone (HPC 87-91).

Dear Father Mears
From the day my sons started at Hato Paora College you showed care and kindness to our family. You offered to come and pick me up to go to prize giving because I didn't have car and you encouraged my sons academically by acknowledging their efforts.
You truly carried out Christ's message of love and peace.
It was a pleasure to know you and I feel so privileged that you visited me recently.
You had such a profound influence on the many lives you came in contact with.
May perpetual light shine upon you dear Father
May you rest in peace
