I was saddened to read of Ken's death. Although I hadn't seen him for many years, I still have fond memories of working with him in the laboratory at Southland Hospital in the early 1980's. His diagnosis of the first case of HIV in NZ at that time was amazing, given the lack of information about what was then an emerging disease. Ken was always very supportive of the Haematology lab staff, sharing hs knowledge, and also enjoying some fun repartee.
My condolences to his family and colleagues.
