To Ken's family, We would like to send our sincere condolences to you all on Ken's passing. We are part of the old State Insurance management and can share many of Ken's memories of the comraderie of the old firm before major change kicked in. It's good to know the grapevine amongst the team still works. We completed our time on the West Coast, Greymouth in fact, and oversaw the eventual closure of this office. We still live here in this quieter region of NZ, not so mainstream, but still in touch.
Our sympathy goes to you all at this time.

Thank you for your friendship over the years. You were a true friend to Graeme over time he was so ill and you and Gail were there for me over the past years since his death. True friends indeed. I miss you both.

I first met Ken nearly 20 years ago when I joined the senior group at the Manor Park Golf Club. Over the past few years I had shared a motorised golf cart with him. I appreciated his companionship, his quick wit and his coaching advice! A great mate. RIP.

Over the years you shared your wise counsel to many in the industry & I am grateful for that as I am for times spent socially where the world's problems were debated.

Rest in peace, Ken

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well.
