Kathryn Ella (Kathy):
On August 9, 2020, peacefully at Spring Lodge, Upper Hutt, aged 51 years. Dearly loved daughter of Eileen and the late Jack. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Mike and Marg, Allan and Debbie, Lianne and Gerald Cawthra, Raeleyne and Ondrae (dec) Kaukau, Patrick (dec) and Ruth, Brendon and Janette. Loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Special thanks to all of the staff at Spring Lodge, Upper Hutt for their exceptional care of Kathy over the last 18 years. In lieu of flowers donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service or posted to PO Box 30 814, Lower Hutt 5040. A service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation at Akatarawa. Dearest Auntie Eileen,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your beautiful family. I remember the days crawling around your kitchen chairs with my cousin Kathy getting stuck, you would always get us out. I have very fond memories of Kathy, she had one big smile that always light up the room.
We love the thought that we have sent another Angel to heaven as Kathy was our angel. Aunty Mary wants to say you and Jack have given Kathy the most wonderful home with loads of love.

Dearest Aunty Eileen and all family members of the FlanClan- Bill and I, along with mum (Aunty Mary) wanted to share our deepest sympathy with the passing of Kathy. So many years have passed since we were together as a family but we have wonderful memories of the fun we had with you - and the love and light and joy that Kathy always shared. Her beautiful presence on this Earth was felt by everyone who was blessed to know her- an Earth Angel indeed.
I know her departure will leave a huge gap in your lives- but an opportunity for us to fill it with love and gratitude for the loving daughter, sister, Aunty and cousin we have been blessed to know.

Hi Auntie Eileen and all of the Flan Clan
So sorry to learn this afternoon of Kathy's passing on Sunday - in an email sent to me last night but which I only discovered and read late this afternoon - as I would love to have been at the Service this morning and join you all in farewelling a truly courageous and always smiling family member who never seemed to complain about anything despite having far more than most of us to endure in our lives.
I also want to express my appreciation of how much all of you contributed to making Kathy's quality of life a priority and the personal sacrifices this entailed at times.
Regrettably, I had only fleeting contact with Kathy, but nevertheless enough to feel the sadness of her loss, and can thus only imagine how this is affecting all of her immediate family at this sad time.

Dear Eileen and families I am sorry to hear Kathy's passing. I will always remember her smiling and happy when you came into the chemist shop with her. Beautiful young woman.
