Karen, this is very saddening news. I learnt so much from you and truly looked up to you as a strong, intelligent, and hard working power woman. I miss you.

Miss Karen I remember you as a little pocket rocket always bouncing around Aotea College full of energy with a super big grin on your face! I know you were a treasured friend of many and your passing has shocked us all. Thoughts are with the family. Until we all meet again, RIP Karen x

So sorry and sad to hear Karen has passed. Such a vibrant and bright person with so much to offer the world. What a tragic loss and my thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends.

I have not seen you for awhile but I still treasure the fun times we shared - like having our daughters at the same time... your decision to have a thanksgiving dinner party and so on..... and most importantly you were a good, kind and loving person.

You will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to your family at this time x.

From the small but feisty teenager I first met at college, you became a beautiful, talented and well respected woman. It has shocked us all so much to hear of your passing. My heart goes out to your family at this very sad time.

I remember the very first time I saw you. You were nailing it in a gymnastic competition. I didn't know you then but we would later meet at high school and become friends. I have so many wonderful memories of that time together and the years following. You were a cherished friend and you will always hold a special place in my heart.

So incredibly sad and our hearts go out to the family. A huge loss for all. We will treasure always the recent time we had with Karen - reminiscing about all of our our Thorndon group of children when they were younger and looking to their future - which will now have new star in the sky. I am incredibly saddened by your loss and all the emotions you will be struggling with now and into the future.

Karen, I always admired you for your candidness and confidence which was far beyond your young years when we were at Aotea College :-) You had the biggest smile for a little lady and I can still recall your laugh! We shared lots of wonderful times together, solving all the world's problems in your bedroom after raiding the pantry and not surprisingly you went on to achieve many wonderful things! I hope you have found peace now sweetheart and know that it's not the years we spent apart that matters, its the years we spent together that count I'll always remember you with much love, xxxx
