Karen HARRIS Obituary

68, of Tawa sadly and unexpectedly passed away on 27 August 2023. Beloved wife of Ian, loving mother of Jeffrey and Kate, David and Michaela. Proud Nanny to her grandchildren Chloe, Lily, Andrew and Hazel. Sadly missed by her sister Susan Fowler and nephews Matthew and Diane, and Simon and Cici. Karen spent her life caring for others as a pharmacist and in many other ways. She was a long-time Scottish Country dancer and enjoyed the outdoors. Messages may be left in Karen's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz. A live stream link of the service may also be accessed here. A celebration of Karen's life will be held at 10.30am on September 15th, at Tawa Union Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Karen's name to Mary Potter Hospice or Wellington City Mission.

I'm sorry that neither Jane nor I can attend Karen's service this morning as we are both isolating with COVID.
As part of the now post-middle aged ex-NZPO engineering 'family', we're becoming too well aware of Donne's bell tolling for us too.
