Joyce LUCAS Obituary
Peacefully at Wellington Hospital on Saturday, 20 August 2016, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Bing; sister of Jack, George, Ina and Ray; wonderful mother and mother-in-law of Murray and Margaret, Marian and Mark Hutchinson, and Chris Johnson; loved grandmother to Caleb, Robyn, Nathanael, Clare, Aaron, Lauren and Nick, great grandmother of Harry and Bradley. A Thanksgiving Service for Joyce's life will be held in the Tawa Baptist Church, Main Road, Tawa, on Tuesday, 23 August at 3pm. Our thanks particularly to the caring staff of Longview Rest Home. Dear Murray, Marian and family, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Aunty Joyce, her and Bing were such great friends of my grandparents (Geoff and Noeline Wood) and she took lovely care of me when I lived with Grandy next to her and Uncle Bing in Tawa. With fondest thoughts, Melissa.

Dear Murray, Marian and families. I learned from Mum today of the sad passing of Joyce. I have so many happychildhood memories of her and Bing and all they did for me and our family. my thoughts love and prayers are with you all and be proud of the wondeful legacy of all of you that she leaves behind. she will always be remembered by the Malcolm family. (Sorry I can't attend the service as i am living and working in istanbul.)
