Of Marton suddenly on Sunday, July 10 2016, at home. Loved wife of the late Colin. Loved mother of Julie (Cas), Joanne, and Suzanne. Loved sister of the late Betty and Roy Brumwell (UK). Messages to the Coates Family C/- 18 Morris Street, Marton 4710. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7116, Wanganui would be appreciated or may be left in the Church foyer. Friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Joy's life at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Broadway, Marton on Friday, July 15 2016, at 1.30pm. Followed by interment at Mt. View Cemetery.

Our dear Joy. Sorry to hear of her passing. Great memories of a kind and caring woman and loved her sense of humour. I boarded with Colin and Joy 1977 when teaching in Marton. So pleased I caught up with Joy this year. Julian Sowerby.
